Recommended Base Preparation
We would recommend that if you have a relatively flat base drainage channels are not necessary, a gentle gradient, 1” higher at the back of the stable sloping to the front is usually sufficient.
6” of compacted hardcore is recommended under a 4”-6” concrete base, ideally the concrete should be mixed with an acid inhibitor, the code for this is RC45. Usually there is a minimum 3’-4’ concrete frontage to the stable area, although this is a matter of personal preference.
Internal Stable Grilles (optional)
Heavy duty, hot dip galvanized internal divider grilles are strongly constructed from 25mm x 25mm wide box section steel with 10mm diameter solid bars set at 75mm centres. Sizes: 1170mm long x 700mm high
